Who Are We?
The Cobourg Dragonboat Club was founded in October of 1999. Dragonboating was first introduced to the Cobourg area in November 1998 by Dorothy Hampson when she started the Survivor Thrivers Dragonboat Team. Two other teams were started that season; the Wave Runners mixed team and the Dragonettes ladies team. Today we have 6 teams competing in Festivals throughout Southern Ontario all summer long!
Dragonboating started in China over 2000 years ago. Twenty paddlers, a drummer and steersperson work together to reach their goal. Festivals are held almost every weekend throughout Ontario and major cities around the world.

The Corporate Team Building Program provides an opportunity for management and employees to experience first hand the exciting sport of Dragonboating! Through practices your staff will learn new paddling skills and ways to work together!

Corporate participation in Dragonboat training and/or racing is designed to motivate people through shared goals, the experience of high profile success and collaborative efforts that contribute to that success! We take groups outside their normal work environment where they have fun and learn to work together to overcome the challenges, all in a safe and supportive environment.

How the Corporate Team Building Program Works:
The Cobourg Dragonboat Club will provide a boat, coach, paddles and life jackets for your team. Practices are held in the Cobourg Harbour.
Corporate Team Series: $1500
Practices are twice weekly, for a 4 to 6 week period, 1 hour in length. We can accomodate 20 paddlers per session.
1/2 Day Team Building Workshop
$500 10-21 people
$1000 21-42 people
$1500 43-63 people
Learn how to work together to paddle a Dragonboat in a morning or afternoon.
Corporate Sponsorship Availabilities: $1000
Corporation will have a 24" by 8" logo on both sides of the boat. The logo will remain on the boat for approximately 10 years - an average $100/year investment!
