The community at Alderville First nation strives to balance the requirements of a modern society with the traditional elements of Anishnaabe society.
The economy of the community is based on traditional values and concentrates on cultural tourism, in particular through the Spirit Walks project. Successful enterprises include Cool Cars, a vehicle customization shop, and a full range of local services.
As the community moves towards negotiated self-government, the opportunities to engage in economic partnerships increase.
