The Big Apple restaurant at the intersection of Highway 401 and County Road 25 is the most visible sign of a prosperous rural municipality with strong ties to fruit production. In addition to its successful agricultural economy, the village of Colborne houses an industrial park with tenants that include Canada Colours and Chemicals, and suppliers to the trucking and communications industries. Fortunately, large acreages under agricultural production do not conflict with potential residential, industrial and commercial sites, leaving the township open for residential and commercial growth.
